Slick Road Driving Tips

We might not have much snow in the midwest to start this winter season but we have had some rain which can create slick driving conditions. While it isn’t a major snowstorm, it can still make for a treacherous commute. Here are a few tips that are good reminders for how to tackle driving in slick conditions:

-ALWAYS wear a seatbelt

-Drive slowly, no speeding!

-Increase following distance, do not tailgate

-Avoid using cruise control

-Plan ahead, give yourself plenty of time so you aren’t rushing

-Be aware of your surroundings and stay calm
